In My Mailbox #22: October 9 - October 15, 2011 Edition!

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren

The purpose of the meme is to highlight books that you have received in your mailbox over the past week. So let’s see what I got in my mailbox this week!

My mailbox is once again pretty large!  I met up with Evie from Bookish on Friday night and she was nice enough to give me several books.  Plus, she brought me chocolate back from Poland.  How awesome is that?Keep reading for more info on just what was in it this week.

Cinderella Ninja Warrior by Maureen McGowan
Enthralled by Melissa Marr

Cinderella Ninja Warrior is the one of the books that Evie gave me.  I had honestly never heard of it, but it seems pretty cool.  I picked up a copy of Enthralled at Chapters on Friday night while running around with Evie and Sally!

Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult
The Odious Child by Carolyn Black

Sing You Home was sent to me by Simon & Schuster Canada in celebration of the paperback release of the book.  I have had this one on my list for a while so I am happy to get a chance to dive into it.  The Odious Child and Other Stories was recommended to me by Sally who works at the ChaptersIndigo at the Yonge & Eglinton location.  This book would not have been even been on my radar if it wasn't for her.  Bonus, it's a Canadian author and the book is printed and bound in Canada.

What I Was by Meg Rosoff
End of Days by Eric Walters

Sally also recommend What I Was by Meg Rosoff and End of Days by Eric Walters.  Again two books that wouldn't have been on my radar.  And yes, you did read the price on What I Was correctly.  It was only $2.00 and with a 20% discount it cost me a whopping $1.48!  Can't beat that.

The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Evie gave me a copy of The Summoning by Kelley Armstong.  I may already have this one, but I can't find it on my shelf.  She was also kind enough to part with her ARC of Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi.  I had a fangirl moment cause I have been dying for this one.  I will probably tackle this one next week some time!

A Millions Suns by Beth Revis
Witch Song by Amber Argyle

Evie was also able to make a pit stop at the Penguin Canada HQ and pick me up an ARC copy of A Million Suns by Beth Revis.  Seriously, she is such an awesome friend!  I have been dying to read this since finishing Across the Universe.  Look out for a review of this one in the beginning of January!  Evie also gave me her ARC copy of Witch Song by Amber Argyle.  This is another book that wasn't on my radar so it's cool to find something new.

The Postmistress by Sarah Blake

The Postmistress by Sarah Blake has been on my wish list for some time now.  While at Chapters on Friday night, Sally pointed it out to me in the bargain section.  Seriously, a hardcover for $9.99?  Can't go wrong with that.

Huge thanks to Simon & Schuster Canada, Penguin Canada, Evie from Bookish and Sally from ChaptersIndigo Yonge & Eglinton
