Follow Friday #3

Welcome to Follow Friday and the weekly blogger hop.  I absolutely love this idea as it is a great way for me to find new blogs and meet more bloggers.

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, and the Weekly Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books.

I haven't done one of these in a very, very long time!  I'm not sure why, but I kind of miss doing this so lets try it again.

Q. If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what?

*May Contain Spoilers*

A. That is a tricky one.  I think out of all the books that I have read recently that I wish I could change the ending, it would have to be practically any of the Harlequin Romance Signature series.  The books are never long enough for the kind of stories they are trying to portray.  They always come up with these complicated plots that really can't be resolved well or believeably in 170 pages, yet they do it every time.  Sadly, despite knowing how much it will annoy me, I continue to read them in hopes that one will actually be done well for a change.  I'll let you know if I find one.

Book Blogger Hop
“What are you most looking forward to this fall/autumn season – A particular book release? Halloween? The leaves changing color? Cooler temperatures? A vacation? (If your next season is other than fall/autumn, tell us about it and what you are most looking forward to in your part of the world!)”

I am most excited for the cooler weather, falling leaves, and beautiful colours of fall.  There is nothing better than taking walk through the park on a Sunday afternoon and experiencing nature in all her glory!

*Note* Everyone who leaves a comment on this post or a follows me always gets one back.  Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hey! I think I already follow you, but I'm back just to check out your FF post! Great answer, I think books that resolve too quickly are a little pointless, like why was I reading this in the first place? I like books that tear me apart personally, just my cup of tea.

This week’s question is perfect for Labor Day weekend with the “official” end of summer and all.

I’m all about fall! I love all four seasons and I’m sorry to see summer go (I hope to get in a few more swims in my pool) but I’m also amped up for Autumn.

Why?

For most of the same reasons we all like autumn – fall foods, Halloween, the chill in the air, changing leaves and candy corn. But I’ve got a scary slant to why I’m angling for autumn. Hop on over to my book blog at http://www.howardsherman.net to read all about the murder, mayhem, seriously spooky stuff and even some BSP!

I'm with you. I need a decent and prolong HEA ending to a complicated plot! :)

Funny that you are looking forward to the cooler weather. I am in Australia so I am hanging out for the warmth and sunshine after a winter that seemed to last forever!

Stopped by to check out the contest and saw your Follow Friday question and answer. Maybe that's why I don't read short books. I had a hard time coming up with one yesterday. I always try to not second guess an author on an ending or any other decision made in the course of a book (unless the book is really, really bad - then I just make no comment at all.) I did compromise and pick one though. (Of course I immediately sent an apology to the author because I didn't want him to think I was bashing his book - lol!)
Here's the link to my follow Friday. Thanks for sharing yours!
